Stockholm Wildlife Safari
Description
Explore the captivating wildlife surrounding the Swedish capital on this excursion through Stockholm's forests. Are you prepared to uncover the wonders of the local fauna?
Activity Details
Our adventure will commence at Tideliusgatan at the appointed hour. Once we’ve assembled, we will board a minibus and embark on our journey to discover the animals that inhabit the woodlands around Stockholm. Wildlife enthusiasts, get ready for a unique experience!
Our exploration includes hiking through wooded areas and fields, where we will learn to interpret tracks in the snow. Afterward, we will travel by vehicle to locations known for higher wildlife presence. Using a bright flashlight, we will venture into the night, seeking out creatures that become active after dark.
On this tour, you may spot deer or moose, which are emblematic of Sweden’s fauna. With a bit of luck, we might even catch a glimpse of a rare beaver. As we traverse the meadows, herds of roe deer feeding and the occasional fallow deer may come into view. Along the way, we will share intriguing insights about various wildlife, including ravens, hares, wood grouse, anthills, great grey owls, and wild boars.
After our thrilling adventure in the forests of Stockholm, we will gather around a campfire to enjoy a seasonal snack and recharge our energy.
Ultimately, we will conclude our five-hour exploration by returning to the initial meeting point.
