Day Trip Overview

Your adventure commences at the appointed hour at Cais da Praia Grande in São Luís. From there, we will board our transportation, and in approximately 40 minutes, we will arrive at the charming coastal town of Raposa. Are you prepared to unveil one of Maranhão's best-kept treasures?

Upon reaching Raposa, you will embark on a 3-hour boat excursion. This voyage along the tidal channels will be framed by lush vegetation, including species such as the red mangrove and black mangrove. These mangroves serve a vital role as natural nurseries for marine life, acting as filters for sediments and safeguarding the coastline against erosion.

While on the water, we will make several stops to traverse the dunes of Fronhas Maranhenses, remarkable sand formations created by wind and tides. During the rainy months, these low-lying areas transform into lagoons as they collect rainwater, offering sites reminiscent of the Lençóis Maranhenses, albeit on a smaller scale.

We will also visit the island of Curupu and Praia Carimã, granting you some leisure time to swim in its tranquil, shallow waters. Once the boat journey concludes, return to land for a delightful experience of tasting oysters at your own leisure.

Subsequently, we will take a brief panoramic journey through Raposa, featuring Avenida de las Rendeiras, renowned for its exquisite bobbin lace craftsmanship.

At the conclusion of our adventure, we will head back to the original meeting point, wrapping up our experience after a fulfilling 5 hours together.
