Your adventure begins with a morning departure from São Paulo. A brief bus ride of approximately 30 minutes will take us to the northern outskirts of the city, where we will enter the expansive Cantareira State Park, a natural reserve sprawling over 7,900 hectares—comparable to the area of eight soccer fields!

As we venture into the Serra da Cantareira, we will pause to learn about the historical significance of the park, which served as a trading route for merchants traveling between São Paulo and various other regions during the 15th and 16th centuries.

Then, it's time to kick off our trekking journey! The first segment we'll tackle is a 1.5-km stretch of the Macuco Trail, where we’ll immerse ourselves in the stunning flora and fauna of the area as we head towards the Cantareira dam, the essential water source for São Paulo.

Continuing onward for another 3.5 km along the Waterfall Trail, we'll traverse the Engordador River, providing an opportunity for a refreshing swim. Our hike will culminate at the Casa da Bomba, a site that once formed part of the old hydraulic system and is now recognized as a historical site.

Before our return to São Paulo, you will have 45 minutes of leisure time to further bask in the natural beauty and capture photographs of the breathtaking landscapes.
