Excursion Overview

We'll begin by collecting you from your accommodation in Taghazout at the scheduled time, embarking on a journey towards the western region of Morocco to uncover the treasures of Marrakech.

After a travel time of approximately 3.5 hours, we will reach our destination. You will be greeted by the distinctive ambiance that characterizes this historic city, rich in stories at every corner.

Your first destination will be the impressive Kutubiyya Mosque, towering at nearly 70 metres (229 feet) and prominently showcasing the city's skyline. This landmark derives its name from “kutubiyyun”, reflecting its past as a center for an ancient book market nearby, thus referred to as the "Mosque of the Booksellers".

From this point, we will wander through the narrow streets of the Medina, Marrakech's historic heart. Enclosed by about 19 kilometers (11.8 miles) of walls erected in 1122, the Medina is the liveliest segment of the city, which, until roughly a century ago, held all its commercial activities within these protective boundaries.

As we navigate through the Medina, you will encounter quaint artisan workshops nestled within the souks along with various local markets. Our next stop will take us to the bustling Jemaa el-Fna square, recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Here, performers such as storytellers, jugglers, and snake charmers gather to entertain both visitors and locals with their vibrant acts.

Around midday, you will have approximately 2 hours of leisure time to shop for unique handicrafts from Marrakech and indulge in the flavorful dishes characteristic of Moroccan cuisine.

Finally, we will return to our original meeting point, concluding our exploration after a fulfilling day of 14 hours.
