Roque Nublo Hiking Experience

Our adventure begins at 10 am at the Roque Nublo parking area, conveniently situated just a 30-minute drive from the Tejeda center. Prepare for a 6 km trek that will lead us through the central mountainous regions of Gran Canaria, ultimately taking us to one of the island's most recognized symbols. Are you excited to set off?

We will begin our ascent, relishing the tranquility of the wild and breathtaking panoramic vistas of Gran Canaria's rugged mountain peaks. Steering clear of the busier trails, we will explore less-traveled paths that reveal the area’s striking beauty, culminating at one of the island's highest elevations, standing at 1,813 meters!

Throughout the Roque Nublo hike, we will traverse through enchanting Canary pine forests until we arrive at the lookout point for this impressive volcanic formation, designated as a Biosphere Reserve. As we pause, you will hear about the geological origins of this natural wonder and its significance as a revered site for the indigenous inhabitants of Gran Canaria. Furthermore, the rock formations of El Fraile and La Rana will also be within our line of sight.

After a memorable journey filled with stunning scenery, we will conclude our hike at 2 pm, returning to our starting point.
