Description
In this stargazing experience in Tekapo, participants will have the opportunity to observe a vast starry sky using advanced telescopes, all while surrounded by an area that boasts minimal light pollution.
Stargazing in Tekapo
On the day of the event, we will convene at the specified spot on Andrew Don Drive, located just a brief four-minute drive from the center of Tekapo, to kick off this enchanting night of stargazing.
Upon arrival at our chosen viewing site, recognized for its negligible light interference, we will commence an astronomical exploration that spans from age-old tales of constellations to scientific insights. Our knowledgeable guide will share intriguing astrological concepts ranging from Greek myths to Maori folklore.
Wrapped in blankets and sipping hot chocolate to keep comfortable, we will gaze through a high-powered 9.25-inch computerized telescope, discovering the intricate details of our solar system.
As our stargazing adventure nears its conclusion, we will gather around a fire pit to indulge in roasting marshmallows while cherishing the last moments under the celestial canopy.
After 1.5 hours of discovery, we will conclude our experience with heartfelt farewells.
