As you proceed with the booking, you will have the opportunity to select from the following itinerary choices:

Historic Day Trip (8 Hours)

At the arranged hour, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Teresina and set off towards Pedro II, situated in the Serra dos Matões region. The minibus ride will take approximately 3 hours.

Throughout the day, we will delve into the historic quarters of Pedro II alongside its natural surroundings. A walk through the town center reveals colonial buildings, along with age-old squares and churches, highlighted by the notable Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Conceição. As we explore, we’ll share the intriguing story behind the town's namesake, one of Brazil's most significant emperors.

Next, we will visit Mirante de São João, a perfect photo stop for capturing the breathtaking mountain vistas enveloping Pedro II. Our journey continues to the Mirante do Gritador, where at an altitude of 984 feet (300 meters), you'll be enchanted by the panoramic view of the majestic cliffs and the valley below.

The tour will conclude with a visit to Torre II, an archaeological site showcasing ancient cave paintings that reveal the area’s earliest history.

To round off the day, we will pause for you to enjoy lunch on your own. After your meal, we will return to your hotel, arriving approximately 8 hours after departure.

Buriti & Samambaia Day Trip (9 Hours)

For this option, we will begin our journey at your hotel in Teresina, heading towards the outskirts of Pedro II, specifically the Mirador do Gritador, which will be reached after around 3 hours.

Upon arrival at this viewpoint, we’ll embark on a one-hour hike, traversing a 2 km (1.24 mi) trail. The rewarding effort will lead us to the stunning Buriti and Samambaia waterfalls, known for their tranquil natural pools.

Here, you will have the opportunity to refresh yourself in the water at your leisure.

Finally, we will return to our vehicle for the journey back to your hotel in Teresina, where we’ll complete this 9-hour excursion.

Tombador Waterfall Day Trip (10 Hours)

If you opt for this route, we will depart from your hotel in Teresina, making our way towards the outskirts of Pedro II. After about 3 hours of travel, we will arrive at a trailhead.

Upon reaching the trailhead, we’ll embark on a 30-minute hike leading to Tombador Waterfall, which cascades down 49 feet (15 meters), surrounded by the diverse landscapes of the Caatinga and Cerrado ecosystems, making it one of the most picturesque falls in the area.

You can swim in its inviting waters and enjoy your packed meal. Our visit concludes as we return by vehicle to your hotel in Teresina, with an expected arrival 10 hours after our initial pickup.
