Sete Cidades & Pedro II Day Trip

Get ready to be amazed by the beauty of the Sete Cidades National Park and the history of Pedro II. On this day trip, you'll visit two of the most famous sites in northern Piauí.

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Teresina and set off to the Sete Cidades National Park, one of the most important protected reserves of northern Piauí.

After an approximately 2-hour journey, we will reach the site where various captivating landscapes await. Upon arrival, we'll begin a walking route around Sete Cidades to discover different ecosystems, such as the arid savanna and seasonal forest.

Throughout the park, we will see ancient rock formations and learn about them. We'll also discuss the park's flora and fauna and stop at viewpoints for spectacular views.

After the walk, we'll stop at a nearby restaurant for lunch.

After lunch, we'll travel to Pedro II, a renowned town in the Serra dos Matões region. You'll find out why it is named after one of Brazil’s most important emperors.

Once we arrive, we'll first visit Morro do Gritador, a viewpoint over 984 feet (300 meters) tall, followed by a visit to the historic center of Pedro II, where we will see the Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora de Conceição and explore the colorful streets of the town.

Finally, we'll return to Teresina and drop you off at your hotel 10 hours after pickup.
