Tour Overview
Your adventure begins at the designated meeting point in Thingvellir National Park, home to the renowned Silfra Fissure. A short walk will take us to this remarkable natural wonder, where you'll have the opportunity to appreciate its beauty. Here, you'll receive essential instruction on snorkeling techniques, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience as you engage with this extraordinary underwater environment.
The fissure marks the boundary where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates diverge, allowing you to snorkel between two continents. Get ready to explore the impressive canyon walls from a close vantage point.
As you glide through the crystal-clear waters, you'll navigate towards the expansive section known as Silfra Hall. Continuing, you'll encounter the breathtaking Silfra Cathedral, a highlight of the fissure. Your snorkeling journey will conclude in the Blue Lagoon, the shallowest area of the Silfra rift.
After approximately 35 minutes of snorkeling, we'll return to land to warm up with hot chocolate and biscuits. Once rejuvenated, our exploration continues to the soothing Laugarvatn Fontana spa.
To reach the spa, a short drive is required. Upon arrival, you can indulge in the relaxing geothermal baths and reap the benefits of these natural healing waters. With various natural pools, steam rooms, and ice lakes, the spa has something for everyone!
The tour will conclude at the Laugarvatn spa after 5 hours, but you are welcome to remain and enjoy the facilities for as long as you wish.

Important information
Please keep in mind that on the day of the activity, you will have to go to one of the following meeting points:
- Snorkeling in Silfra fissure: you will have to drive yourselves to Thingvellir National Park. When you get there, you will park your car at the P5 parking lot. Then walk a short distance to the Silfra parking lot, where we will welcome you and provide you with your snorkeling equipment. We have a heated changing room, but we recommend that you put on your thermal underwear before coming to the National Park. The drive from Reykjavík to Thingvellir takes 45-60 minutes.
- Spa in Laugarvatn: the spa is located in Laugarbraut, Laugarvatn 840, IS. The drive from Silfra to Laugarvatn Fontana takes about 30 minutes, and you will have to drive your own car.

Other requirements:
- Must be between 150 and 200 cm tall (4 ft 9 - 6 ft 5)
- Weigh between 45 and 120 kg (99 to 264 lbs)
- Must be at least 12 years old.
- Must be in good physical shape.
- Must be prepared to wear a dry suit that is sometimes tight and constricting.
- Must be able to communicate in English or have an interpreter available at all times during the tour.
- Pregnant people are unable to participate in this activity
Attention: participants are not allowed to go on the tour without signing the medical declaration.
What Do I Need to Bring?
Long, thermal underwear, thick socks, clothing suitable for the weather of the day. If you wear glasses, bring contact lenses or a prescription mask. A bathing suit and towel are also required for the visit to the Laugarvatn spa.
