Complimentary Walking Tour of Tigre
Your exploration begins at the train station in Tigre, our designated meeting point at the specified time.
As we learn about the origins and flow of the River Tigre delta, we will make our way to the Sacriste Bridge, where you'll uncover the history tied to the city's first settlers. Continuing the tour, we will pass by the boat passenger station, gaining insight into the water taxis that serve as the primary mode of public transportation in this unique area.
Our next highlight is the statue of former Argentine president, Domingo Faustino Sarmiento. Curious about his connection to Tigre? Our knowledgeable guide will provide intriguing insights on this topic and more! Following this, we will view Villa Carmen, a residence of a prominent Scottish family, designed during the prosperous era of the early 1900s, often referred to as the 'belle époque'.
Our journey continues as we explore the historic buildings of two significant local clubs: the Buenos Aires Rowing Club and the Club Canotieri Italiani.
