Folk Music & Dance Experience in Tirana

At the designated hour, we will gather at Albanian Night, where you will delve into the spirit of Albania with a performance showcasing genuine folk music and dance. The evening kicks off in the foyer and the traditional hall, a venue thoughtfully crafted by local artisans.

Here, we will meet Leka, the chief of the village, who will graciously welcome us and lead us to the costume area below. Leka will narrate the captivating tale of his son’s wedding, a celebration that inspired this traditional Albanian dance. As you listen, the soothing vocal performance of an artist alongside guitar melodies will envelop the surroundings, evoking a sense of nostalgia.

With guidance from the performers, we will proceed to the area where you can choose from a selection of costumes representing various regions of Albania. Once dressed, you will cross into the Oda e Ziarrit, the hall designated for the show. Before settling into your seat, feel free to visit the bar to purchase a drink at your leisure.

The enchantment will commence as the first notes resonate through the hall and the dancers make their entrance, showcasing dances that have been preserved through generations. Witness the men striking the ground energetically, embodying the resilient spirit of the Albanian people. In contrast, the women will gracefully spin, their embroidered skirts flowing beautifully in a performance rich with symbolism!

One of the highlights? During parts of the show, audience members will get the chance to join the dancers, allowing you to be swept away by the fervor of Albanian dance.

As the experience draws to a close after an hour and 15 minutes, you will still have the opportunity to explore the artisan room and the changing area.

Dinner Option

You can further enhance your experience by opting for the dinner package. Upon concluding the show, you'll return your costumes and make your way to the Oda e Besës room, where the dining setup awaits. Here, you will enjoy a set menu featuring a delightful array of traditional dishes from different regions of Albania, complemented with your choice of an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage, along with a bottle of water.
