Embark on an exciting journey through the rich history of Albania as you navigate the city on this biking adventure visiting Tirana's most significant landmarks.

Activity Details

We will convene at the designated meeting point in the New Bazaar. Once everyone is equipped and ready, our exploration of Tirana by bike will commence. Are you prepared to pedal alongside the notable sites of the Albanian capital?

Our ride will start with an introductory session covering the captivating history of Tirana as we traverse the vibrant streets of the city center. Our first stop will be the iconic Clock Tower, located adjacent to the Et'hem Bey Mosque. This tower, constructed in 1822, features a winding 90-step staircase leading up to its summit.

Continuing our route, we will pass by key sites, including the National History Museum, the National Bank, and the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania, which opened its doors in 1953 and can accommodate up to 800 spectators.

Next, we’ll cycle to the Checkpoint, home to a segment of the Berlin Wall and a decommissioned bunker. Here, we will delve into the communist heritage of the city. We'll then proceed to Mother Teresa Square, the second largest in Tirana.

We’ll pause for a moment of relaxation in the picturesque Lake Park. After recharging, we’ll ascend to the Tirana Pyramid, where you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the city from the summit.

As we make our way back, we will pass additional notable landmarks such as Tirana Castle, the Albanian Orthodox Church, and the House of Leaves Museum, which offers fascinating insights into the city's historical narrative.

After approximately 2.5 to 3 hours of cycling, we will return to our starting point to conclude the tour.
