Bovilla Lake & Gamti Mountain Day Trip

Ascend to the peak of Gamti Mountain on this full-day excursion from Tirana and savor the breathtaking vistas over Bovilla Lake, providing a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Albania.

Excursion Overview

We will collect you from your hotel in Tirana at the scheduled time, initiating our expedition towards the outskirts of the capital.

Our first stop will be at the quaint Bovilla canyon, where we’ll take a moment to appreciate its stunning rock formations. Continuing onward, we’ll arrive at Bovilla Lake, a crucial water reservoir for the city set against the backdrop of Gamti Mountain.

Upon arrival, we’ll commence a hike stretching 2 to 2.5 kilometers (1.24 to 1.55 miles) through lush hills with scenic views of the lake. This trail will guide us to the summit, where we’ll be rewarded with expansive views of Bovilla Lake.

At the summit, you’ll have two hours of leisure time to capture photographs, explore a natural cave, and unwind in the beautiful environment. When ready, we’ll retrace our steps back to the vehicle and head back to Tirana.

Ultimately, we will complete our journey at the starting point, concluding the experience in approximately 6 to 7 hours.
