Excursion Overview

Your day will commence with a pick-up from your accommodation in Tirana. We will then embark on a scenic journey toward the Pogradec area. Are you prepared to delve into the beauty along Albania's boundary with North Macedonia?

After approximately two hours of travel, we’ll make our first stop in the village of Lin, perched on a peninsula embraced by the crystalline waters of Lake Ohrid, recognized as one of the deepest lakes across Europe. Here, you’ll discover the lake's significance and ascend to the elevated sections of Lin, home to exquisite sets of Byzantine mosaics that have remarkably preserved their intricate beauty. The panoramic views from this vantage point are truly spectacular!

Our adventure proceeds along the shores of Lake Ohrid, leading us to Drilon, a picturesque natural park perfect for wandering through a landscape of willows and walkways. This tranquil haven has historically inspired a number of Albanian poets and artists.

Continuing our trip, we will reach Pogradec, where you will enjoy 1.5 hours of leisure time to sample the local gastronomy at various restaurants in the vicinity. Don’t miss the chance to indulge in traditional plates such as belushka, a renowned fish specialty, tavë koran, a beloved dish featuring trout from Lake Ohrid, or lakror, a pan-like meal filled with vegetables, meats, and cheese.

At the conclusion of our explorations, we will commence our return journey to Tirana, arriving at the original pick-up point after approximately 8 to 9 hours.
