Carcassonne Day Trip Overview
Our journey begins at Allée Jean Jaurès, number 29 in Toulouse, where you'll board a comfortable bus to head to the citadel of Carcassonne, situated just one hour away.
Upon arrival in this charming medieval town, we will guide you to Porte Narbonaise. You will then have 6 hours of free time to savor the local cuisine and explore the enchanting old town at your own pace. A brochure in English will be provided, and you may also download a complimentary audio guide in English to your mobile device.
Prepare to be amazed by the impressive walls of Carcassonne, which extend for 3 kilometers and include 52 towers that safeguard the legendary secrets of the Cathars. Within these walls lies the Castle of Carcassonne, one of the most significant historical fortifications in the Occitanie region of France.
Don't miss the opportunity to stroll through the old town and visit remarkable landmarks, including the Basilica of Sainte-Nazaire, which features both Romanesque and Gothic architecture.
If desired, you can also venture outside the fortress to explore the ancient gates, such as Porte Narbonnaise and Porte de l'Aude.
The day will culminate as we return to Toulouse by bus, wrapping up this enriching 8-hour experience.

Please keep in mind that entrance tickets to the castle and ramparts of Carcassonne are not part of this package. Important information
Meeting Point
15 minutes before the appointed time, you must report to the following address in Toulouse: Allée Jean Jaurès, 29, next to the Place d'Armenie bus stop.
You can get to the meeting point by public transport, as the Jean-Jaurès metro station is just a few minutes away. This stop belongs to lines A (the red one) and B (the yellow one).
Entrance Fees Not Included
Please note that entrance tickets to the castle and ramparts of Carcassonne are not included. If you decide to visit these sites, you will have to buy a joint ticket for both.
Audioguide
On the day of the excursion, when you board the bus, we will provide you with a brochure containing all the information for the day in French, English, and Spanish. The brochure also includes a QR code to download the application to use the audioguide.
To use the audioguide, you simply need to open the application on your mobile device, create an account, and enter the six digits that appear on the brochure next to the QR code to access the guide.
However, we recommend downloading the audioguide in advance. To do this, follow these steps:
