Carcassonne Day Trip
We'll convene at 29 Allée Jean Jaurès in Toulouse at the agreed time, embarking on a journey to Carcassonne, situated just a short drive of one hour and 15 minutes.
Upon arrival in this charming medieval locale, our first stop will be at Porte Narbonaise, where you will be granted 6 hours of free time to indulge in the local cuisine and immerse yourself in the enchanting old town as you wish. An English brochure and your tickets to the Castle of Carcassonne will be provided, alongside the option to download a complimentary audio guide in English directly to your mobile device.
The impressive walls surrounding the city are sure to astonish you, built to safeguard the legendary secrets of the Cathars. Inside the fortified area, you will encounter the Castle of Carcassonne, celebrated as one of the oldest fortifications in the Occitanie region of France.
Take the time to stroll through the ancient town, where you'll find remarkable landmarks, such as the Basilica of Sainte-Nazaire, featuring a blend of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. Don't forget to explore the outer area, including the historic medieval gates like Porte Narbonnaise and Porte de l'Aude.
In the afternoon, we will regroup in the heart of Carcassonne to return to Toulouse. Our journey back will conclude after a total of 8 hours.
Entrance Fees Not Included
Please be aware that entry tickets to the castle and ramparts of Carcassonne are excluded. Should you wish to access these attractions, you will need to purchase a combined ticket for both. You can acquire the entry ticket to the castle and ramparts here.

Important information
Meeting Point
15 minutes before the appointed time, you must report to the following address in Toulouse: Allée Jean Jaurès, 29, next to the Place d'Armenie bus stop.
You can get to the meeting point by public transport, as the Jean-Jaurès metro station is just a few minutes away. This stop belongs to lines A (the red one) and B (the yellow one).
Entrance Fees Not Included
Please note that entrance tickets to the castle and ramparts of Carcassonne are not included. If you decide to visit these sites, you will have to buy a joint ticket for both.
Audioguide
On the day of the excursion, when you board the bus, we will provide you with a brochure containing all the information for the day in French, English, and Spanish. The brochure also includes a QR code to download the application to use the audioguide.
To use the audioguide, you simply need to open the application on your mobile device, create an account, and enter the six digits that appear on the brochure next to the QR code to access the guide.
However, we recommend downloading the audioguide in advance. To do this, follow these steps:
