Piran & Slovenian Coast Tour
Your adventure begins with a pickup at your selected location in Trieste at the scheduled time, as we embark towards our first destination, the enchanting city of Piran.
After approximately 40 minutes on the road, we will reach our destination, where you can uncover the charm of this picturesque Slovenian town, reminiscent of... Venice! Piran was under Venetian rule for around 500 years, which has left a lasting influence on its character.
To explore the connection between these two places, we will begin our journey at Piazza Giuseppe Tartini, a square that honors the renowned violinist born in Piran. This central hub features notable landmarks, including the house of Tartini, the elegant Venetian palace, the historical Tartini Theatre, and the impressive Town Hall.
As we meander through the narrow streets, we will make our way to the iconic Church of St. George, known for its Baroque architecture, and the ancient city walls, where stunning panoramic views await. Are you ready to capture unforgettable moments of this journey?
Continuing our exploration westward, we will visit three of the most captivating destinations along the Slovenian coast, starting with the resort town of Portorož. Here, we will visit the salt pans and indulge in a tasting of local wines and traditional Istrian delicacies.
Next, we will head to Izola and Koper, where our guide will lead us through these charming seaside locales. Did you know that Koper is the largest city on the Slovenian coastline? Throughout our travels, we will be treated to breathtaking landscapes, framed by the sea and the distant Alps.
After fully experiencing the beauty of the Istrian coast, we will return to our starting point approximately 5 hours later.
Pickup
When booking, you will have the option to choose your preferred pickup locations for the tour:
- For cruise ship arrivals in Trieste: we will meet you at the Cruise Terminal where your ship docks.
- If you are not arriving by cruise ship: head to the designated meeting point.

Important information
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at the point in Trieste that you indicated during the booking process.
The meeting points are as follows:
- If you're arriving in Trieste by cruise ship: we'll pick you up at the Cruise Terminal in Trieste, where your cruise ship is docked.
- If you're not arriving in Trieste by cruise ship: head to the meeting point located in front of the main entrance of the Savoia Excelsior Palace Hotel (Riva del Mandracchio, 4), near Piazza Unità d'Italia (Italy's Unity Square).
The day before the activity, we will confirm the exact pick-up point. Please be sure to arrive 10 to 15 minutes in advance.
