Details of the Day Trip

We will convene at Plaza Mayor in Trinidad at the scheduled time and commence our exploration of the city’s delightful historic center, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Our journey will lead us to Los Dos Cañones Park, the location where we will greet our trusty horses. In this scenic spot, we will also encounter the remnants of a significant sugar mill. After a safety orientation and ensuring everyone is prepared, we will set off on the ride towards El Pilón Waterfall.

Our ride will take us across verdant hills and trails enriched by lush tropical greenery. Along the route, we will pass by traditional bohíos, representing the authentic countryside lifestyle of the region.

After approximately 3 km (1.8 mi) of riding, we will arrive at El Pilón Waterfall, a secluded gem nestled deep within Trinidad’s jungle. Here, we will allow the horses some time to rest and hydrate while we revel in the refreshing, crystal-clear waters for a delightful two hours.

Once we have enjoyed our relaxation time, we’ll make our way back to Los Dos Cañones to bid farewell to our equine companions. Our next stop will be Doña Clara restaurant, where a traditional Cuban lunch featuring seasonal produce will await us.

After revitalizing with our meal, we will stroll back to our original meeting point in Trinidad, concluding the day trip after approximately 5 hours.
