At the scheduled time, we will convene at the Plazuela de Jigüe and embark on our free tour of Old Trinidad. This journey will uncover the origins of the city.

Discover that this area is where it all began! We will delve into Trinidad’s extensive history as we visit Jigüe Square and proceed with a walking tour through the historic heart of Trinidad. Along the way, captivating legends and tales of the city will come to life.

Our route will include a trek up the steep Desengaño Street, leading us into some of the most authentic neighborhoods of Trinidad. These areas, often overlooked by guidebooks, allow us to truly experience the spirit of this Cuban locale.

We will explore the neighborhoods of La Popa, Loma de los Chivos, La Chanzoneta, and Mano del Negro. Nestled in the city’s core, these lesser-visited areas are steeped in history, with captivating stories to uncover. Notable sites, such as the remnants of the old Santa Ana Church, where only the entrance stands today, will also be included in our exploration.

After a rich history lesson and a leisurely 3 hours of walking through Trinidad, we will make our way back to the historic center to conclude our free tour.
