Your excursion begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Tunja, setting the stage for our informative guided excursion. Our first stop will be the historic downtown, recognized as a national treasure due to its remarkable charm. This vibrant area is filled with colonial-style buildings, showcasing an array of historic homes alongside grand 16th-century churches.

Throughout this 5-hour walking experience, we'll admire 15 unique doorways that embellish numerous important structures across Tunja. Crafted from both Spanish and local stone, many exhibit Neoclassical styles, highlighting the architectural heritage of this city in Boyacá.

Situated at an altitude of 2,775 meters (9,104 feet), we'll share engaging insights about this fascinating capital, the highest in Colombia. For instance, it stands out as one of the safest cities in the coffee-producing nation. Its vital role in Colombia's Independence movement in 1810 enhances both its cultural and national significance.
