Your journey begins with a pickup at your hotel in Tunja, followed by a visit to the Hunzahua Well, a revered location for the ancient Hunza community, which was integral to one of the most significant cities within the Muisca civilization during pre-Columbian eras.

After uncovering the origins of this remarkable well, we will proceed to the Los Cojines del Zaque Archaeological Park. This historical Muisca site functioned as an astronomical observatory and a location for ritual offerings. Here, we will also explore the fascinating narrative surrounding the Loma de los Ahorcados.

Next, we will visit Moyas de San Ricardo, where traces of an ancient Muisca planetarium await our discovery. Following this, we’ll take a moment to appreciate some pictograms along the Farfacá River. In addition, we’ll pause to admire the murals inspired by Muisca culture that can be found throughout Tunja.

Our next stop will be a downtown Tunja restaurant where you can enjoy a typical Boyacá lunch, featuring an appetizer, your choice of meat or fish for the main course, and a drink. As we relish our meal, we’ll also discuss various gastronomic traditions of the Muisca people.

With our appetites satisfied, we’ll embark on our return to Tunja, approximately 4 hours after our initial pickup.
