Tour Details

We will meet at Piazza Castello, in front of the Palazzo Madama. Upon gathering, we will enter this World Heritage building to begin our exploration of Turin's history.

The guided tour starts at the ancient Roman Gate, visible under a glass floor, showcasing archaeological remains over 2000 years old. Then, we will proceed to the medieval structure of the castle, examining its significant walls, arches, and passages.

Inside the palace, we will explore the valuable art collection, including paintings, sculptures, porcelain, and fabrics, featuring the Portrait of a Man by Messina.

We will then ascend 30 meters (98 ft) through the building, from the ancient moat, now a charming garden, to the tower for views of Turin, its hills, and surrounding mountains.

The visit concludes with the monumental staircase designed by Filippo Juvarra in the 18th century, noted for its Baroque architecture.

The guided tour lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
