Embark on a captivating 3-day private journey to Mount Bromo and Ijen, where you will immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes created by Java's active volcanoes.

Tour Overview

Day 1: Bali - Ketapang

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your Bali hotel. Our adventure begins with a trip to the port, where we will board a ferry heading to Ketapang, located in Surabaya.

Upon arrival, a transfer will take us to our hotel in Ketapang for check-in. You will then enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.

Day 2: Ijen - Mount Bromo

Prepare for an early morning! On our second day, our journey commences at 12 am when we will collect you from your hotel. An off-road vehicle will take us to the Paltuding visitor center, the starting point for our hike to the craters and volcanoes of Ijen, recognized for its breathtaking natural beauty in eastern Java.

The terrain is characterized by the striking blue lava phenomenon. Did you know that this site is famously referred to as the Blue Volcano of Indonesia? While safety protocols prevent us from witnessing the unique lava in person, we will share its fascinating features.

Following our exploration, we'll hike back to Paltuding for the return trip by jeep to our hotel in Ketapang.

After enjoying breakfast at our lodge, we will embark on a 7-hour drive to Bromo, pausing for lunch along the way.

Day 3: Mount Bromo - Surabaya or Yogyakarta

On the final day, we will gather early in the morning at the hotel entrance to board an SUV that will transport us to Penanjakan. From this viewpoint, we will behold the sunrise over the Tengger caldera, a volcanic landscape enveloping Mount Bromo.

As dawn breaks, this area erupts with shades of violet, orange, and red, presenting a breathtaking natural display. During our sunrise experience, you will also have the opportunity to partake in a tranquil horseback ride on Mount Bromo.

Our route will culminate at the base of Penanjakan Mountain, where transportation will await to return you to the hotel.

Once you have re-energized with breakfast, we will arrange for your transfer to the station or airport of your choice, marking the conclusion of this enriching 3-day exploration of Mount Bromo and Ijen.

Accommodation Details

Your stay includes two nights of accommodation with breakfast at the following locations:

• Ketapang: Ketapang Indah Hotel or an equivalent option
• Mount Bromo: Lava View Lodge Hotel or a similar establishment. In 2026, the planned accommodation may change to Lereng Hotel Bromo, Terrace Bromo, or similar.

Tour Endpoint Options

During the booking process, select your desired endpoint for the tour:

• Surabaya Airport: Concluding the tour, we will transport you to Surabaya Airport. We suggest booking your departure flight for 2:30 pm or later to ensure you have sufficient time between connections.
• Hotel in Yogyakarta: If you prefer to conclude the tour in Yogyakarta, we will take you to the Surabaya train station, from where you can board a train to Yogyakarta. Upon arrival, we will assist you in reaching your reserved downtown hotel.

Essential Information

To hike the Ijen volcanoes, it is necessary to provide a medical certificate affirming your good health. This documentation must be obtained in Indonesia, and we will assist you on the first day of the tour.

Note that the cost of procuring this document is not included in the tour price, amounting to 50000 IDR per person, payable in cash at the clinic.
