Three-Day Tour Package in Central Mongolia

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar - Semi Gobi Desert - Karakorum

Your adventure begins at 8 am when we pick you up at your accommodation in Ulaanbaatar. Our first highlight will be the Semi Gobi Desert, where a warm welcome from a local nomadic family awaits. You will gain insight into their traditional lifestyle, which includes milking, feeding, and herding animals such as camels, horses, goats, and sheep. A camel ride over the picturesque Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes will afford you stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

After an enjoyable lunch break, we will proceed to Kharkhorin, the site of the legendary Mongolian Empire's ancient capital, Karakorum. That evening, you will settle into your traditional ger camp for the night and savor a local dinner, unwinding after a day filled with memories.

Day 2: Erdene Zuu Monastery - Ugii Lake

With a hearty breakfast fueling us, we will focus on the rich history of this former capital. Our explorations will take us to the National History Museum of 13th Century Mongolia and the venerable Erdene Zuu Monastery, noted as one of Mongolia's oldest Buddhist temples. A short hiking excursion will provide you with expansive views over the city and the valley below, which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Next, we will travel to Ogii Nur, enjoying lunch en route. Once we reach the enchanting lake, you can ride a horse along the shore (if winter conditions prevail, we’ll switch to ice fishing). After an enriching experience at Ogii Lake, we will return to the ger camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Khustai National Park - Ulaanbaatar

On the final day of our excursion, we will enjoy breakfast before embarking on a guided exploration of Karakorum, the ancient capital. Our next destination is Khustai National Park, a conservation area known for its population of wild Prezewalski horses. While at the park, you will learn fascinating details about these magnificent creatures over lunch before we begin our journey back to Ulaanbaatar. You can expect to be dropped off at your hotel around 3 to 4 pm.
