Bridal Veil Falls Trek
Description
The Bridal Veil Falls represent one of Ushuaia's most stunning natural attractions. Experience this picturesque site on an engaging hiking journey starting from the city.
Bridal Veil Falls Hiking Adventure
Your excursion will commence with a pickup from your accommodation in Ushuaia at the designated time. We'll then embark on a 30-minute drive to the base of the striking Mount Olivia, the launch point for this remarkable trek.
As we set off, you will spend the next hour traversing the breathtaking Patagonian landscape toward the Bridal Veil Falls (Velo de la Novia), recognized as one of the most captivating waterfalls in the Tierra del Fuego region. If you visit during the austral summer, anticipate encountering vibrant local vegetation, including prominent species like buttercups and green orchids.
Continuing onwards, the second phase of our journey will weave through enchanting Sour Cherry trees and lush Patagonian forests. This path leads us into the scenic canyon where the Bridal Veil waterfall cascades down. Here, we will take a pause to savor a warm cup of tea alongside a picnic featuring traditional 'alfajor' cookies, savory ham and cheese empanadas, along with fruits and cereals.
Once recharged, we will make our way back towards the slopes of Mount Olivia. Afterward, we will drive back to your hotel in Ushuaia, with an estimated arrival time of around two hours later.
