Escondido Lake Horse Riding

Experience the stunning scenery of Tierra del Fuego through an engaging horseback adventure at Escondido Lake, complete with transportation from Ushuaia.

Activity Overview

At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your accommodation in Ushuaia to embark on a journey to the famed Escondido Lake. The route follows Ruta Nacional 3, where we will navigate through the breathtaking valley of Tierra del Fuego and traverse the majestic Andes via the impressive Paso Garibaldi.

As we reach Escondido Lake, we will stop at a gaucho refuge, marking the beginning of our delightful one-hour horseback ride. You will be paired with a Creole horse that suits your experience, and after preparing the horses, we’ll set off. Let’s ride!

During this 1, 2, or 3-hour horseback journey, based on your selection, we will explore the Fuengian subantarctic forest, observing the native plant species of Tierra del Fuego. Additionally, we will arrive at the tranquil shores of Escondido Lake, allowing the horses to hydrate as we enjoy the breathtaking vistas of the surrounding forests, valleys, and mountains.

Upon concluding our ride, we’ll return to the refuge, where a tasty snack will be waiting, consisting of a traditional dessert paired with a warm infusion.

After this delightful experience, we will commence our return to Ushuaia, concluding a total time of 4 to 7 hours, depending on the chosen length of your horseback ride.

Argentine Asado

During the booking process, you can opt for a package that features an Argentine barbecue following the horseback ride. This offers a genuine touch to conclude your day!

The meal encompasses a picada of cured meats and cheeses, chorizos, grilled beef with salads, and beverages. A traditional dessert along with coffee will also be served.
