Garibaldi Pass Hiking + Escondido Lake Pack Rafting
Description
Embark on an exhilarating journey as we trek through Garibaldi Pass, immersing ourselves in the stunning landscapes of Tierra del Fuego. Following the hike, we will transition to a pack raft to explore the serene waters of Escondido Lake.
Activity Overview
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your Ushuaia hotel at the appointed time, followed by a drive along National Route 3.
As we traverse the Tierra Mayor Valley, our journey of approximately 50 minutes will be filled with insights into the region's rich history, diverse culture, and remarkable landscapes. Upon reaching the Garibaldi Pass, we will prepare ourselves for the hiking segment.
The hiking portion spans 3 hours with an easy difficulty rating. Over a distance of 4 kilometers (2.5 miles), we'll discover picturesque mountain lagoons and enjoy breathtaking views of both Lake Escondido and Lake Fagnano.
Midway through our trek, we’ll pause for a quick snack before arriving at the shores of Lake Escondido, where a delightful mountain stew will be served for lunch.
Following our meal, we’ll take a brief rest before launching into a delightful hour of packrafting on Lake Escondido. The stunning vistas will surely captivate you!
Once we conclude our packrafting adventure, we'll embark on an additional hour-long hike leading to the impressive Bridal Veil Waterfall, located near the Olivia River.
After this final hike, we will return to the vehicle and make our way back to Ushuaia, with an expected return to your hotel 8 hours after the initial pickup.
