Your adventure begins in the End of the World with a pickup at a convenient time from your hotel in Ushuaia. We'll embark on a scenic drive along the Ruta Nacional 3, leading us to the breathtaking Tierra del Fuego National Park, a highlight of South America's natural wonders. Let’s set off!
Upon our arrival at the park, we will traverse a pathway showcasing the native flora and fauna of this unique region. Expect to see lenga beech and sour cherry forests while uncovering the rich legacy of the Indigenous communities. Our first destination is Lake Roca, also referred to as Errázuriz. This picturesque lake, which lies between Argentina and Chile, provides stunning views.
Nearby, the Alakush Visitors Center awaits, where we will delve into the history of the ancient Yahgan people of Tierra del Fuego. Continuing along the trails, we will arrive at the terminus of the Ruta Nacional 3, Lapataia Bay. Here, a catamaran will be ready for us at Puerto Arias. Within a short 20-minute jaunt, we will arrive at Redonda Island, a hidden gem of the Beagle Channel.
Once we set foot on the island, we will embark on a hiking route to locate the site of the former Naval Prefecture detachment, offering stunning vistas of the channel framed by majestic snow-capped mountains. Be sure to capture this moment with a photograph!
After our exploration, we will make our way back to the boat and return to Puerto Arias. Our next destination will be Ensenada Zaratiegui, a bay enveloped by the lush Magellanic forest. The picturesque landscapes, bordered by snowy summits, will serve as an exquisite conclusion to our tour.
Eventually, we will begin our return journey. After approximately 4 to 5 hours of exploration, we'll bid farewell at your hotel in Ushuaia.
