For many centuries, Valencia was the center of the Gremi de Velluters, renowned makers of silk velvet. The vibrant silk industry took root thanks to the influence of Genoese craftsmen and flourished during the 15th century, marking a time of prosperity and grandeur within the city.
The Silk Museum invites visitors to explore the fascinating narrative surrounding this trade, tracing its origins, the breeding of silkworms, and the crafting of silk textiles on looms. You will discover intriguing details, including the fact that Valencia housed nearly 5000 looms. This ticket opens the door to numerous other intriguing aspects of the silk story.

Museum Hours
The Silk Museum welcomes guests Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm, and on Sundays and public holidays from 10 am to 2:30 pm.

Important information
On the day of the activity, head to the entrance of the Silk Museum, located at 7, Carrer de l'Hospital.
You'll have to go to the Mint counter at the entrance and show the voucher. There you can scan a QR code to download the audio guide on your mobile phone. Please bring your own headphones.
