Activity Details

We will commence our journey from Valencia to Alicante at the specified time. After a travel duration of 2 hours, we will reach Santa Pola. Here, we will board a 30-minute ferry to the island of Tabarca!

Upon arrival at the island's dock around 10 am, you will have free time to explore Tabarca until 4:15 pm. Despite its modest size, the island is rich in interesting sites! We suggest taking a leisurely walk through the charming streets and admiring the exceptional Mediterranean architecture, which features highlights such as the Church of San Pedro and Pablo.

Additionally, consider visiting the Museo Nueva Tabarca (New Tabarca Museum), where entrance is complimentary. Inside, you'll discover a variety of archaeological artifacts that illuminate the island's history. The museum also offers an audiovisual room, showcasing an engaging documentary that explores the connection between humanity and the sea.

Another must-see includes the Tabarca Lighthouse and the historic Trancada Gate (Puerta de Trancada/San Gabriel). Don't miss out on the local culinary delights; the island's restaurants serve exquisite paella and freshly grilled fish! Later in the afternoon, you will return to the port via ferry.

We will arrive back at the Santa Pola port, and you can expect to return to your hotel in Valencia approximately 8 hours and 30 minutes after the start of the excursion.
