Trip to Las Coloradas and Ek Balam
Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in Valladolid between 7:00 and 7:30 am, after which we will travel to the charming town of Río Lagartos for a delightful 2-hour boat journey on the beautiful Lagartos River.
During the boat ride, we will navigate through this protected ecological reserve, providing an opportunity to observe the stunning flamingos, herons, and pelicans that call it home. To pamper yourself, indulge in a traditional Mayan mud bath, known for its skin rejuvenating properties! Following this, a delicious traditional lunch featuring a selection of regional specialties will be served.
At around 12:30 pm, refreshed and invigorated, we'll proceed to the captivating archaeological site of Ek Balam. Here, you’ll discover ancient walls, impressive pyramids, arches, and the remnants of a pre-Columbian ball game. After the guided tour, you will have ample free time to leisurely explore the ruins of this remarkable civilization.
In the late afternoon, we will make our way back to Valladolid, arriving at your hotel by approximately 5:30 pm.
