4 hour tour

If you choose this option, you'll enjoy a tour lasting four hours of two villages near Varanasi. After being picked up at 8 am, you'll be taken to Sarai Mohana, known for its production of silks, used to create India's most iconic item of clothing: the sari. Watch first-hand as craftsmen and women weave these magnificent colourful fabrics. You'll also have the opportunity to buy one if you'd like - a stunning souvenir of your time here.

Next, you'll head to Chiraigaon, where you can experience the true essence of India by seeing the daily lives of the people who live here. Having truly explored village life in Varanasi, you'll return to your hotel.

8 hour tour

If you'd prefer to spend a full day exploring the fascinating villages around Varanasi, this eight-hour tour will also take you to Sarai Mohana and Chiraigaon, as well as visiting Kapildhara and Rameshwar.

After being picked up from your hotel at 9 am, you'll visit Sarai Mohana to appreciate the beauty of their famous saris, before heading to Kapildhara, where you'll learn all about the area's gastronomy and discover the local cattle farms.

You'll continue to Chiraigaon and finally to Rameshwar, a village in which you can experience one of the most incredible sights of the day: getting to see a Sanskrit class. Watch in awe as the youngest of children learn to write this ancient language.
