Murano & Burano Self-Guided Tour
Description
Experience a tranquil day on the stunning Venetian Lagoon. Join us as we take a boat journey to two of the region's most enchanting islands: Murano and Burano. On Murano, immerse yourself in the art of traditional glassblowing with a live demonstration.
Tour Overview
We'll assemble at a central pier in Venice at the scheduled time to board the boat for our exploration of the lagoon.
Our first destination will be the beautiful island of Murano, where you will have an hour of free time. Here, the opportunity awaits to visit a glass factory and see the glassblowing craft in action, a hallmark of this island. If you'd rather not enter the workshop, you might prefer to take a leisurely walk through its charming canals and local shops.
Afterwards, we'll continue our boat trip, heading towards the delightful island of Burano, where you will have 1.5 hours to explore. The island’s striking and vibrant houses create a picturesque scene perfect for photography. Alongside wandering the streets, you can delve into its crafts by visiting the Lace Museum or by exploring local stores that sell the famous lace products known as merletti.
At last, we will reconvene at the pier in Burano to make our way back. Our adventure will conclude as we return to Venice, reaching the San Marco Cornoldi pier after a total journey of 5 hours.
