Verona & Sirmione Day Trip
Description
On this day trip to Verona and Sirmione, we will leave Venice to explore these two gems of northern Italy.
Day Trip Details
We will meet at The Plaza Hotel in Venice to start the trip. This experience includes exploring landmarks in Verona, the romantic city in Veneto, and the beauty of Lake Garda.
The first stop is Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet. We will stroll through the historical centre, observing palaces and medieval architecture.
We will see the exterior of Juliet's House and admire the facade of the Verona Arena, a well-preserved Roman amphitheatre.
After this short tour of Verona, there will be 2.5 hours of free time for you to explore monuments and enjoy lunch.
We will reconvene to travel to Sirmione, located to the south of Lake Garda. Upon arrival, we will board a boat for 30 minutes across the lake's waters, taking in views of Sirmione, the Scaliger Castle, and the famous Grotte di Catullo.
