At the designated time, we will gather at the meeting point to embark on a journey through two of Venice's most significant structures. Are you prepared to delve into history?
Our first stop will be the renowned Doge's Palace, a symbol of Venice's political might for centuries. This building has served as the official residence of the Doges, the supreme leaders of the Venetian Republic. As we step inside, you'll learn about the authority that these leaders wielded historically.
As we navigate through the various rooms within this historic residence, take note of the grand golden staircase and the masterpieces by celebrated artists like Titian, Tintoretto, and Bellini. We'll also traverse the Bridge of Sighs, where a visit to the dungeons awaits – an experience sure to thrill!
The second segment of our tour will focus on the St. Mark's Basilica Museum. We will travel back to the year 828 to explore the foundation of the Basilica while strolling through the intriguing museum exhibits.
Throughout the tour, you will have the chance to closely admire the temple's exquisite mosaics and the four Horses of St. Mark. These remarkable bronze sculptures were famously brought back from Constantinople as trophies of war. We’ll share the fascinating story behind them.

Do keep in mind that the meeting location may change based on availability and could be one of the following:
- Campo San Zaccaria
- Calle Larga Ascensione. If you opt for this location, please note that we will not visit the Terrace or the Basilica itself. Instead, during this period, we will share additional insights about the basilica's exterior.

Only some areas are accessible. Accessible toilets. An accompanying person is required. This must be indicated in the reservation.
Important information
The tour will begin at the designated time at your chosen meeting point.
- If you chose the tour departing from Campo San Zaccaria, please go to the Civitatis Shop at the following address: Campo S. Zaccaria, 4683 g, 30122, Venice VE, Italy. Here, you'll have to register before beginning the tour.
- If you chose the tour departing from Larga Ascensione, we'll meet in front of the post office. From Piazza San Marco, you'll need to pass under the arch that says "Museo Correr." You'll then find the Poste Italiane post office. A person will be waiting for you at this spot with a "Góndola Tour" sign and will do your check-in. Check the meeting point at this link. If you choose this option, please note that we will not visit the Terrace or the St. Mark's Basilica. In its place, during this time, we will share more facts about the basilica in its exterior.
In both cases, please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
Safety Regulations
Visitors can't enter the basilica with large bags or backpacks, but there are free lockers on San Basso Street. Visitors should also wear conservative clothing, or you'll need to pay 2 euros at the entrance and be given a cape to wear when you enter the church.
Additional Info
Some days between April and July, all visitors to Venice must pay an access fee directly to the Municipality of Venice, which will vary between 5EUR and 10 EUR, subject to various exclusions. For dates, payment methods, exclusions, and further information, please visit the official website.
As for the tickets that are not included in the visit, you'll have to buy them in advance on the St. Mark's Basilica website: https://basilicasanmarco.skiperformance.com/en/store#/en/buy?skugroup_id=2524. Please note that there are no individual tickets, so if you buy the Main Nave ticket and want to visit other areas not included, you'll have to buy the cumulative ticket again on the ground floor.
