Tour Overview

Upon booking, you can select between two distinct experiences. Both commence at the Eurocidade Chaves-Verín Headquarters, are accompanied by an English-speaking guide, and conclude at the original meeting point.

Montalegre and Boticas Exploration

We will gather at the designated time to embark on our journey, crossing over into Portugal to explore Alto Tâmega, a picturesque region within Trás-os-Montes.

The first stop will be the village of Montalegre, where we will admire its remarkable 12th-century fortress. Our visit will also include the Ecomuseum of Montalegre, offering insights into the rich history and culture of this charming Portuguese area.

Next, we’ll head to Boticas, where you can appreciate its quaint stone houses and delightful streets. During our time here, we'll explore the Rural Museum, where the agricultural heritage of Boticas is showcased, along with traditional tools that have been carefully maintained.

You will have one hour of free time for lunch, after which we will wrap up our tour and return you to the starting location at the end of a fulfilling 8-hour experience.

Vila Pouca de Aguiar and Valpaços Tour

Alternatively, with this selection, we will dive into the delights of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, highlighted by a visit to the Parque das Pedras Salgadas, a scenic wooded area adorned with uniquely shaped stones.

Your journey will also take us to Valpaços, where we will stop at the Wine Museum to explore the rich winemaking heritage of this region. You have the flexibility to choose which sites you would like to visit!

After an engaging 8 hours of discovery, we will conclude the tour by returning to our departure point.
