Boca del Río Day Trip
Description
Understanding a culture deeply involves exploring its rich history and culinary traditions. On the Boca del Río Day Trip originating from Veracruz, you will have the opportunity to engage in a flavorful journey that intertwines both.
Boca del Río Day Trip
Your adventure will commence at 10 am when we collect you from your accommodation in Veracruz. In a mere 15 minutes, we will arrive at the vibrant center of the coastal Boca del Río to initiate our historical and culinary exploration.
Our first stop is the Municipal Moneda Museum, where we will have the opportunity to admire numerous artifacts dating back over 500 years while uncovering the intriguing history of Boca del Río. In addition to exploring various forms of currency used through different epochs, you’ll also discover engaging insights into graphic artistry from various cultures.
After our museum visit, we will proceed to the Santa Ana Parish Church, a beautifully preserved 18th-century structure that holds the story of a remarkable legend. As we step inside, we will delve into its historical significance and its connection to local fishermen.
Following this, prepare for a memorable culinary experience where you will sample 3 traditional Veracruz dishes alongside 2 local beverages. Anticipate flavorsome stuffed crabs, tamales, and huachinango (red snapper), complemented by regional drinks: popo (a cacao-based beverage) and atole (made from corn).
