Excursion to Orizaba & Coscomatepec

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Veracruz. From there, you'll embark on a visit to two renowned Pueblos Mágicos within the region.

The first destination is Orizaba, where you'll explore the stunning 19th-century Palacio de Hierro, the center of local government. Next, you'll ascend via the local cable car to the summit of Cerro del Borrego in the natural park. At the observation point, enjoy remarkable vistas of this protected area teeming with mist-covered forests at an elevation of 1240 meters!

Following Orizaba, the journey continues to Coscomatepec, situated in the scenic Las Altas Montañas ('High Mountains'). Here, you'll visit the Church of San Juan Bautista, renowned for its exquisite carving of the Christ of the Agony. You'll also stroll through Constitution Park and admire the colonial architecture of the Municipal Palace.

An exciting stop at a local bakery will allow you to discover the secrets behind the region’s famous breads and sweets. Additionally, certain viewpoints in town offer stunning sights of the majestic Citlaltépetl volcano, so have your camera ready! After the exploration, enjoy two hours of leisure time for lunch at your convenience.
