Tour Overview

Meeting at noon at the Plaza Acuario in Veracruz, we will proceed to travel to San Juan de Ulúa. Upon our arrival at this small island adjacent to the Veracruz port, you will embark on a guided exploration to uncover the mysteries of this remarkable fortress that has stood for over 500 years.

During its time as a prison, San Juan de Ulúa gained notoriety as one of the most infamous correctional facilities in Mexico. You will learn about the living conditions faced by the inmates and have the opportunity to visit their cells, allowing you to grasp the gravity of their situation.

The narrative of legendary prisoners such as Chucho el Roto and the Mulatto of Córdoba will also come to life, showcasing the intriguing tales surrounding these historical figures.

Our journey will take us to the Tower of San Pedro, where you can admire the panoramic views of the coastline and the bustling port below. This setting offers an ideal opportunity to capture memorable photographs.

At the conclusion of our tour, transportation will be arranged to return to the Plaza Acuario, with a journey time of approximately 30 minutes.
