Excursion to Alta Gracia, Villa General Belgrano, & La Cumbrecita
Upon making your reservation, you can select from two distinct options. Both alternatives include hotel pickup in Villa Carlos Paz, transportation, a knowledgeable guide, and the return trip.
Alta Gracia & Villa General Belgrano (6 hours)
Our adventure begins with a scenic drive through the stunning landscapes of the Sierras Chicas. In this captivating region of the Argentine province of Córdoba, we will make a stop at Los Molinos Lake and then at Alta Gracia.
In Alta Gracia, we will admire the renowned Jesuit complex from the exterior and delve into the influence of the Society of Jesus in this part of South America. Following this, we will visit the Che Museum, where we will explore the life of Ernesto Guevara, an iconic figure in 20th-century Argentina.
Our journey will then lead us through the Calamuchita Valley to Villa General Belgrano. Upon arrival, the Bavarian-style architecture may transport you to Germany instead of Argentina, showcasing the significant impact of its Central European settlers.
After leisurely exploring the Germanic streets of Villa General Belgrano, we will head back to your accommodation in Villa Carlos Paz.
Schedule: During the months of January and February, this tour departs daily at 1:30 pm. For the remainder of the year, trips are offered at 1:30 pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Alta Gracia, Villa General Belgrano, & La Cumbrecita (11 hours)
Choosing this route allows you to experience the same itinerary as the previous option. After our visit to Villa General Belgrano, we will proceed through the Calamuchita Valley to reach La Cumbrecita, known as the first eco-pedestrian village in Argentina, and a prominent tourist attraction in Córdoba province.
You will have the rest of the day to wander through La Cumbrecita, where vehicles are completely banned, allowing you to appreciate the town’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
Lunch will be at your discretion in La Cumbrecita, after which we will conclude our day with the journey back to your hotel in Villa Carlos Paz.
