Activity Details

We will convene at Calle 15 No. 9-17 at the appointed time to embark on a creatively stimulating journey in Villa de Leyva. Our experience will commence with a warm welcome, where we will honor the earth as a vital entity before channeling its essence into artistic expressions. This sets an ideal foundation for your painting journey!

Following this, we will engage in a sensory exploration. Together, we’ll explore various types of earth, tuning into its distinct aromas and textures, while discovering a spectrum of colors that connect us deeply with the land.

As we progress, it will be time to unleash your creativity. You’ll have the option to select a board—either 21 by 17 centimeters (8.2 by 6.7 inches) or 24 by 24 centimeters (9.4 by 9.4 inches)—on which you can sketch or depict a figure that resonates with your emotions, intuition, or the surrounding environment.

Next, we will delve into the art of mixing soil. You’ll acquire the skills to create your own natural pigments by blending water with various additives to produce hues with evocative names like “Tunja red” or “Villa de Leyva yellow.” Which color resonates with you the most?

We will take a moment to savor coffee, tea, wine, or a handmade milhoja, providing a perfect opportunity to recharge and unwind. With preparations complete, the most exciting segment begins: the painting phase. You’ll immerse yourself in adding color and texture to your artwork. Allow the shades and surfaces to convey their own stories!

In conclusion, we will share our creations with each other, and you’ll have the chance to sign your pieces. This will serve as a perfect concluding touch to this enriching activity, which spans a total of 1.5 hours.
