At the scheduled time, we will convene at the Mýrdalsjökull glacier base camp. After the group assembles, we will don our thermal gear and receive a thorough briefing from our instructor on operating the quad bikes. Let the adventure begin!

Once prepared, we will hop onto our quad bikes and embark along the southern coastline of Iceland, unveiling some of the nation’s most breathtaking vistas. We will navigate across gentle rivers and streams until we arrive at the renowned black sand beaches adjacent to the Katla volcano.

As we proceed, we will soon encounter one of the most notable landmarks in this region — Sólheimasandur Beach and the wreck of an abandoned airplane. Here, we will pause to reflect on the history behind the aircraft's unfortunate crash.

Following our exploration, we will remount our quads and continue our journey further along the southern coast towards the majestic Dyrhólaey cliffs. At the southernmost tip of Iceland, we will cross the Jökulsá River to witness the splendor of Mount Heiðarhorn.

Eventually, we will start making our way back to the Vík base camp, arriving approximately one hour after our initial departure.

Requirements & Booking

Before embarking on this adventure, please consider the following conditions applicable to both drivers and passengers:

Driver Requirements

• Minimum Age: Participants must be at least 17 years old.
• Documentation: A valid driver’s license is required on the day of the tour.

Booking Instructions for Groups

During the reservation process, you will encounter three types of tickets. Here’s how you can combine them according to your needs:

• Seeking individual quad use? Choose the "Adult on individual quad" option.
• Two adults sharing one vehicle? Select 2 "Adult on shared quad" tickets.
• Traveling with a child (ages 8 to 16)? Minors can only ride as passengers. For this booking, select 1 "Adult on shared quad" ticket (for the driver) and 1 "Child (8-16 years old)" ticket (for the passenger).

Important Note: If both adults wish to operate their own quads, ensure that both meet the licensing criteria and select the individual driving option.
