Tour Overview

Our adventure begins at the agreed time at our meeting location close to the Willemstad cruise port, setting the stage for an immersive exploration of Curaçao's vibrant capital. The remarkable Dutch influence, combined with the unique artistic evolution of the island, is sure to enchant you.

We will first venture into the Otrobanda district, a prominent area within the old town. Here, you'll marvel at the stunning colonial architecture adorned with bright colors and delve into the intriguing stories that define this neighborhood, celebrated as the cultural hotspot of the city.

As we meander through its intricately designed streets embellished with graffiti, including a visit to Frederikstraat, we will proceed to Fort Waakzaamheid, an ancient fortification that provides breathtaking views of the cityscape and the surrounding waters.

Next, our journey takes us to the Scharloo district, known for its beautifully restored mansions that are part of a UNESCO World Heritage designation.

In this captivating section of Curaçao's capital, the Wedding Cake House will catch your eye with its distinctive design. We will then visit Landhuis Chobolobo, a former plantation that now serves as a distillery for the national liqueur, Blue Curaçao. Here, you'll indulge in a tasting of this delightful spirit while uncovering the rich history of this famous beverage from the island.

Feeling hungry? A break at Plasa Bieu offers you the chance to savor a local dish at your leisure. Following this, our tour will continue to Mercado Redondo, the largest and most renowned market in the city. Situated in the historic Punda district, the market buzzes with various stands trading fresh fruits, spices, and local crafts, ensuring you'll find irresistible treasures!

Our excursion concludes at Parke Lucha pa Libertat, a quaint park on John F. Kennedy Boulevard dedicated to celebrating the island's rich culture, strength, and historical fight against slavery. A fitting conclusion to our exploration!

After 5 hours of fascinating discoveries, we'll reconvene for farewells back at our original meeting point.

Meeting Location

The tour commences at the Willemstad Cruise Terminal (Curaçap Cruise Terminal). For those arriving by cruise, we suggest waiting at the pier, while those not traveling by ship can meet us at Mega Pier Gate #2.
