Auschwitz-Birkenau Day Trip
Description
The events that unfolded within the concentration camps of Auschwitz and Birkenau left an indelible mark on humanity. Embark on this poignant journey to explore their harrowing legacy during a day trip from Wroc?aw.
Auschwitz-Birkenau Full-Day Trip
“One day this dreadful war will end. That time will come when we’ll be individuals again and not simply Jews.” This quote from Anne Frank, a Holocaust victim, serves as a somber reminder while visiting the two notorious camps: Auschwitz and Birkenau.
Travel south to O?wi?cim by bus and witness the globally recognized symbol of horror on a comprehensive day tour of the site where approximately 1.5 million individuals lost their lives during World War II.
Upon arrival, explore the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum with an experienced English-speaking guide, allowing you to confront the most sorrowful chapters of the Holocaust. Start your visit at Auschwitz I, where you will be transported back in time as you tour the chilling gas chambers and crematoria. You will then have an hour to independently discover the area.
Next, accompany your guide to the second section of the largest extermination camp in Europe: Auschwitz II-Birkenau. Built as a vast killing ground, this site continues to resonate with its tragic history. As you move through the barracks and various segments of the camp, you will gain profound insights into the occurrences that transpired here from 1940 to 1945.
Reflecting on the depths of human cruelty and injustice, we will make our way back to Wroc?aw, concluding the trip as you are dropped off at your hotel.
