Description
Experience a guided bicycle excursion in Yangon while uncovering the vibrant flavors of Burmese cuisine. This is an ideal way to immerse yourself in the city's culture!
Yangon Bike & Food Exploration
Upon making your reservation, you’ll have the option to join either a morning or an afternoon tour. Both tours commence and conclude at the same location: number 126, 40th Street, Yangon.
Morning Tour
The morning expedition kicks off at 7:30 am. From our meeting point, we’ll ride southward on bamboo bicycles until we reach the port, where a 15-minute ferry ride to Dala awaits us.
Once in the charming village of Dala, our cycling adventure continues as we navigate through this picturesque rural region of Myanmar, abundant in stunning natural landscapes. You’ll also witness the local customs and lifestyle of the residents. As we work up an appetite, we’ll return to the port and catch the ferry back to Yangon.
After our return, we’ll visit a local eatery to savor a hearty noodle soup along with an assortment of local appetizers and snacks. Revitalized, we’ll proceed to Bogyoke Aung San Market, providing you an opportunity to learn about the essential ingredients used in traditional dishes. This bike and food experience wraps up at our starting point by 12:30 pm.
Afternoon Tour
The afternoon tour begins at 1 pm and, resembling the morning journey, we’ll cycle to the port for the ferry ride to Dala. Here, we’ll explore the stunning natural environment on our bamboo bikes. After delving into this fascinating area, we’ll return to the city center on the ferry.
In the heart of Yangon, you’ll indulge in an appetizing samosa salad and noodle soup. Following this delightful meal, we’ll visit a tea shop to sample traditional tea, which boasts remarkable restorative benefits. You might be pleasantly surprised by what you learn! Finally, we’ll make our way back to the original meeting spot by 5:30 pm.
