Persepolis, Pasargada & Naqsh-e Rostam Private Day Trip
Description
Join us on a journey in the heart of ancient Persia on this private day trip from Yazd to Shiraz. You'll discover Persepolis, Pasargada, and Naqsh-e Rostam, three significant archaeological sites in Iran.
Day Trip Details
After hotel pickup at the designated time, we'll depart from Yazd, crossing desert valleys to reach Pasargadae, the first capital of the Achaemenid Empire, founded by Cyrus the Great in the 6th century B.C. Here, we'll visit Cyrus the Great's tomb, a limestone structure over 2,500 years old, and the remains of royal palaces, including the Audience Hall and the Private Palace.
Next, we will proceed to the monumental Necropolis of Naqsh-e Rostam, where the tombs of four Achaemenid kings, including Darius I and Xerxes I, are located. The mausoleum façades reflect Persian palace architecture, accompanied by reliefs depicting epic battles and royal coronations from the Sasanian Empire.
After a lunch break, we will head to Persepolis, the ceremonial capital founded by Darius the Great. We will enter through the Gate of All Nations and explore the Apadana Palace, where reliefs illustrate diplomacy and tribute offerings. Key sights include the Hall of a Hundred Columns and the palace of Tachara. The trip concludes in Shiraz, where we will drop you off at your hotel after 10 hours.
