Corona Volcano & Risco de Famara Hike

Activity Details

Participants will gather at Ye Church, situated at 10, Calle San Francisco Javier, where we will kick off an extraordinary hiking journey in North Lanzarote.

As we make our way to this region, the adventure begins with a trek through the Natural Monument of La Corona Volcano. While ascending towards the volcano's crater, you’ll be treated to magnificent views of the surrounding vineyards and the impressive lava flows, known locally as malpaíses.

Once we reach the vast crater of Corona and delve into its geological history, we’ll circle the rim before starting our descent toward the central zone of the Famara cliff.

The cliff's rock formations rise to a height of 1,640 feet (500 meters), offering breathtaking vistas. This segment of the Natural Park of the Chinijo Archipelago not only showcases the majestic Riscos de Famara but also the Peñas del Chache. Here, you will have the opportunity to view Graciosa Island.

After approximately 3.5 hours of trekking, we will return to our original meeting point.
