Cruise Overview
Day 1: Departure from Yichang
Our journey begins at 7 pm at the Maoping Pier in Yichang, where we will board our cruise ship for the next five days. After settling into your cabins, prepare to set sail at 9 pm, gliding away from Yichang, a hub of economic activity in Hubei Province.
Day 2: Three Gorges Dam & Xiling Gorge
Start the day with a hearty breakfast buffet on board as we approach Sandouping to navigate the locks of the Three Gorges Dam. This remarkable structure holds the title of the largest dam worldwide.
We will sail onward to Xiling, the most expansive and profound section of the Three Gorges, stretching nearly 44 miles (66 kilometers). If river conditions allow, we’ll visit the tribe of the Three Gorges in the afternoon to learn about the local way of life.
Day 3: Wu & Qutang Gorges
Following breakfast on the ship, we will board a traditional Chinese boat to visit Goddess Stream, one of the Yangtze's breathtaking sections.
Next, we will explore the Wu Gorge, surrounded by stunning mountains and cliffs, before proceeding to the Qutang Gorge, the narrowest segment of the Yangtze River Gorges.
After the exploration, return to the ship to relax and enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.
Day 4: Shibaozhai, Fengdu, or Yuhuang Shengdi
Enjoy a delightful breakfast on board before we explore either Shibaozhai, Fengdu, or Yuhuang Shengdi, based on river conditions. If we visit Shibaozhai, you will marvel at its iconic wooden temple, often referred to as the "Pearl of the Yangtze River", known for being one of the most unusual structures globally.
The Fengdu Ghost City, located on the northern shore of the Yangtze, is another unique destination, renowned for its ancient demon sculptures atop Mingshan Hill, created over 2000 years ago. Yuhuang Shengdi features the stunning Jade Emperor Pagoda for your admiration.
As the day closes, enjoy dinner on the ship and retreat to your cabin for a restful night.
Day 5: Chongqing
On the final day of our cruise, we will have an early breakfast and by 8:30 am, we will arrive at the Port of Chongqing, concluding our remarkable journey along the Yangtze River.
Itinerary Modifications
Be aware that the cruise itinerary may experience adjustments due to weather conditions. We recommend scheduling any flights or trains from Chongqing no earlier than 3 pm on the final day.
In case of storms, we may arrive at Wanzhou instead of Chongqing. In such instances, we’ll arrange bus transportation from Wanzhou to downtown Chongqing.

Important information
On the day of the activity, we'll meet at 7 pm at the Maoping Pier in Yichang to start the cruise. The cruise ship will departure at 9 pm. The local supplier will get in contact with you to provide more details about the meeting point.
Itinerary Adjustments
Please note that the cruise itinerary may be modified depending on weather conditions. For this reason, we also recommend booking a flight or train from Chongqing on the last day no earlier than 3 pm.
In the event of storms, the port of arrival on the last day of the tour could be Wanzhou instead of Chongqing. However, if this happens, we will provide bus transportation from the Port of Wanzhou to downtown Chongqing.
