At the arranged time, we will collect you from your accommodation to delve into the cultural and historical essence of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Let's set off!
Our first destination will feature cave paintings, where you will be captivated by the ancient artistry and enigmatic aura of these remarkable remnants. This part of the journey will lead us on a downhill walk towards the Yucay viewpoint, providing breathtaking panoramas of the village below.
Next, we will visit a family farm to learn about the preparation of uchucuta, a local spicy sauce that enhances various regional dishes. Following this hands-on experience, you'll have the opportunity to relish an exquisite Andean lunch, featuring roasted guinea pig, quinoa, and a refreshing chicha morada drink.
With your energy restored, we will stroll through the Inca terraces of Yucay, still in agricultural use today. Our adventure continues to the Portada del Sol, a sacred site where we will take part in a traditional earth payment ceremony conducted by a shaman, adding a distinctive touch to our exploration.
Descending the terraces, we will arrive at the Palace of Sayri Tupac, where you will learn about the Incas and their lasting impact on this region. You will also enjoy a brief opportunity to explore stores in Yucay for local souvenirs.
Our day concludes with a visit to the Yucay Museum, where additional insights into local textiles, pottery, and metalwork await.
Finally, we will return you to your hotel after a fulfilling 4-hour tour.

Important information
On the day of the activity, we'll pick you up at the hotel you indicated when booking. Please be ready at reception at least 10 minutes beforehand.
Please remember that this activity only includes pickup from accommodations located in Yucay, Huayllabamba and Urubamba. If you're staying in another area, you'll have to make your own way to the meeting point located in the specialty shop Boticaria Hanpikuy, on the corner of Plaza Manco II in Yucay.
Additional Info
We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes, a hat, sun protection, and a waterproof jacket during the rainy season (from November to April). This tour includes a walk, so we recommend not bringing a heavy bag.
