Activity Details

Your journey begins with a pick-up from your Zanzibar hotel at the scheduled time, before heading to the airport. A swift, 1-hour flight will take you directly to Nyerere National Park, the largest national park in Tanzania and a crucial refuge for wildlife.

Upon arrival, we board an off-road vehicle to kickstart our thrilling safari deep within this reserve. An expert wildlife guide will accompany us, aiding in spotting animals and sharing insightful information regarding their behaviors and habitats. The adventure is about to unfold!

As we journey through the expansive plains of Nyerere, covering an impressive area of 19,305 mi² (50,000 km²), you'll have the chance to observe elephants, lions, buffalo, leopards, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and African wild dogs, among a host of other fascinating species.

Mid-morning, we’ll pause for a brief refreshment of coffee or tea in the savannah, allowing you to take in the awe-inspiring African landscape surrounding you. Afterward, our safari continues as we search for more wildlife thriving in their natural environment. Be sure to keep your camera at the ready!

In the afternoon, we will enjoy a unique bush-style lunch outdoors, featuring a delightful selection of rice, chicken, beans, fruit, juice, and water. This memorable meal is served under the trees, creating a flavorful experience you'll treasure!

Following our lunch, we’ll traverse more trails in the park to uncover additional native wildlife. Observing herds of antelopes and exotic birds soaring overhead, you will discover that each twist and turn presents a new enchanting surprise!

Our safari will eventually draw to a close, leading us back to Zanzibar. After landing on the island, we'll transport you back to your hotel, concluding this exciting 8 to 10-hour adventure depending on your hotel location.
