Trip Overview
We'll gather at the Sihlquai bus station parking lot at the specified time and from this central location in Zurich, embark on a journey through the stunning alpine vistas of central Switzerland.
During our travel, we will follow a scenic path, accompanied by the bus guide who will share engaging stories and insights about this enchanting region that feels like it's lifted from a fairy tale. After our journey, we will reach the charming city set alongside the Vierwaldstättersee, also known as Lake Lucerne, where you will enjoy approximately one hour of leisure time, subject to traffic conditions.
We suggest a walk through the historic center of Lucerne, where highlights include the quaint Jesuit church and the remarkable Chapel Bridge, the oldest wooden footbridge in Europe, which has spanned the River Reuss since the 14th century. The town hall, located across the river, is another essential sight to explore.
Next, we head towards Engelberg. In this idyllic town, nestled at the base of the striking Mount Titlis, you will have three hours of free time for lunch and to discover its main attractions. A highlight here is the impressive Benedictine monastery, which houses Switzerland's largest organ. Within the monastery, you can also observe the cheese-making machinery, a celebrated local specialty.
Our final leg takes us back to Zurich, where we will arrive around 7 pm. On the return journey, the bus guide will share additional fascinating insights about the captivating central Switzerland.

This tour includes the company of a professional multilingual guide throughout the routes connecting Zurich and Engelberg. You will also receive informative materials to enhance your visit in Engelberg.
Additionally, please keep in mind that many shops in Engelberg and Lucerne may be closed on Sundays.

Meeting Point
The tour will start at the designated time at the Sihlquai bus station parking lot, located at the following address in Zurich: Limmatstrasse 2 (in front of the Hotel Fred). Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
How to Get to the Meeting Point
To get to the Sihlquai parking lot by public transport, you can take the streetcar. Lines 4, 6 and 13 will leave you at the stop called Sihlquai / HB. The Central Train Station (Zürich Hauptbahnhof) is only a 10-minute walk from the Sihlquai parking lot.
